Artist in Residence Konrad-Lorenz-Institute, Klosterneuburg/Austria

From May 18 to June 3, 2016 I had the honor to be invited by Konrad-Lorenz-Institute Klosterneuburg/Austria as an artist in residence. I used my time there to document my stay in form of a graphic diary. I portrayed the people i met and talked to at the institute as well as capturing the spirit of the institute by fast sketches at and around the site.

A diary is supposed to be instant and direct, so I switched to using crayons this time – allowing me to feature my encounters there in a fast but colorful way. Another advantage of crayons which i discovered there was: no reflections when being photographed! Since I continuously published my drawings on Instagram, the crayons were a great choice.
